There are some sessions that just feel easy from the minute everyone gets there, and this was one of them.This family was all together at their lake house — parents, grandparents, kids, everyone — and I loved getting to capture them in a place that already means so much to them.There were plenty of smiles, but what I loved most were the laughs.The little looks between family members. The kids being completely themselves. The grandparents soaking it all in. The moments where everyone forgot about the camera for a second and just enjoyed being together.Those are always the pictures I end up loving the most.

A family lake house is rarely just a house. It is summer weekends and long evenings by the water with stories being made. It is boat rides, swimming, kids playing together, meals on the deck, watching the kids grow, and everyone squeezing in for one more weekend together before summer ends. A lake house is an escape from the "real world" to be present and make memories!
